TODAY 7:50 p.m.—NEVADA SMITH—Based on
Harold Robbins’ book The Carpetbaggers,
this western film concerns a munitions
manufacturer who must transport a val-
uable shipment of arms through Indian
and outlaw country to his customer. To
guard the shipment, he hires a gang of
gunslingers, one of whom is his old
friend, Nevada Smith. Stars Lome
Greene, Cliff Potts and Adam West.
TODAY 10:15 p.m.—MAN OF LEGEND—A
German soldier changes identities during
1918 with a man who was shot by the
French Fore:* _ *SJT egion. The German sol-
dier distinguishes himself as a
Legionnaire, but he cannot abide by the
atrocities against the Mohammads, and
so joins forces with them. Stars Peter
Strauss and Tina Aumont. Note: Some
scenes may be offensive to a segment of
the viewing audience.
TODAY 12 a.m.—VICIOUS CIRCLE—A London
doctor offers to do a favor for a friend.
Youth _
Center
There will be a Christmas party for
children in grades kindergarten through
the fourth today from 1 to 3:30 p.m.,
featuring games, prizes and refresh-
ments .
During the children’s Christmas
party, the Youth Center will be closed
to all other ages except kindergarten
through the fourth grades. It will re-
open to everyone at 4 p.m.
The Youth Center invites all fifth
and sixth graders to a holiday party
Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission
will be one bag of wrapped candies for
the pinata. Games and dancing will also
be highlighted.
There will be no ballet classes Mon-
day through Dec. 30. Class will resume

drama is set in the Yuletide season.
Edward Asner portrays a man who learns
that he only has a short time to live.
Having been separated from his wife and
family, he attempts to gather them all
together for an old-fashioned Christmas.

MONDAY 11:50 p.m.—THE MASK OF SHEBA—An
the week of Jan. 2. No gymnastic
classes will be held at the base gym
tomorrow.
Youth Center basketball will play
their games Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturday. The minor league, ages eight
to 11, will play two games Tuesday
evenings, beginning at 6 and one game
Thursday evenings at 6 also.
The major league will play one game
Thursday evenings and two games Satur-
day afternoon, beginning at 1 p.m.
Individual team schedules will be
announced at a later date.
Youth Center basketball is for ages
eight to 11 also in the major league.

African jungle in search of missing mem-
bers of a safari and the priceless gold
mask of Sheba. Once in the jungle, the
team is endangered by primitive tribes-
men, treacherous territory and intrigue

WEDNESDAY 11:10 p.m.—WONDER MAN—Danny
Kaye plays twins—a dual role. He’s an

tainer gets killed by gangsters, but he
returns as a ghost and enlists his twin
brother to solve the murder. Stars
SATURDAY 9:15 p.m. —RICH MAN, POOR MAN—
Rudy continues to advance in the busi-
ness world and learns that Julie is
divorced. However, Virginia, the boss'
daughter, is in love with Rudy, but

SUNDAY 6:45 p.m.—CHRISTMAS IN DISNEY-
LAND—This holiday special is taped at
the magical world of Disneyland. Disney
characters and Hollywood personalities

MONDAY 10:15 p.m.—ALPHA CHRONICLES—In
this documentary, the power of the mind
with all its accomplishments is the
psychic phenomenon which is examined.

instruments tune in to listen to the
stars and galaxies for the answer to

and amoral gambler steals a small case,
which contains 100 million francs from
a gangster and finds himself hunted by
killers. Escaping to Monte Carlo, he
pursues his lifelong ambition—to break

FRIDAY 12 p.m.—THE SHE BEAST—A honey-
mooner's car plunges into a lake, and
the man is found unconscious along with
a hideous she beast, who is a woman

plays cat and mouse with a lifelong
friend, now a professional hit man,

prise and even Earth's solar system is
threatened by a planet-eating machine,
which was originally intended as an
ultimate weapon so powerful that it
could destroy both sides in a war—
something like the old H-bomb of the
20th century was intended to be.
FRIDAY 7 p .m. —CHARLIE ' S ANGELS—The
angels go after a blackmail rnig that
sets up—and photographs—lonely women
in compromising situations.
