demption of Ebenezer Scrooge has fascinated people
of all ages ever since Charles Dickens penned this
classic more than 130 years ago.
W. THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (G) AND HERBIE GOES
TO MONTE CARLO—Comedy (G). In the first film, a
young father must leave his wife and three children
a week before Christmas. He promises to return on
the big day to bring the children presents. The
second movie follows a racing driver who returns
to the track after 12 years. Attempting a come-
back, he drives his Volkswagen, accompanied by
his mechanic. Stars Dean Jones and Don Knotts.

Navy jet pilots and helicopter rescue teams carry
