Basketball banquet tonight
The highlight of both the Intramural
and International basketball program oc-
curs tonight as the 1977-78 basketball
banquet brings to a close a great
basketball program.
Tonights banquet will begin with a
social hour at 6s30 and dinner at 7?30,
After an evening of helld , goodbyes and
award presentations there will be a
live band starting at 9:35,

rechecking stats and comments from team
coaches and players, the following
individuals nave been selected as the
1977-/8 Intramural All-star Basketball
Team. For the first team the forwards
include Bill York, Bob Marshburn and
Larry Shumaker from VP-16, Bill Schroer
from Security was named as center and
guards included Jerry Jackson from
Supply, Mark Hopkins from Postal and
Curtis Reeves from Rockville,

Humphrey racquetball playoff dates are
men'smd womens open (34 years and under)
April 8, and men's masters (34 and over)

Little league registration tomorrow
Registration for Little League base-
ball will begin tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at
the Youth Center. Sign-up will continue
until 4:30 p.m.
To register, parents must fill out a
registration form and bring with them
either the child's birth certificate,
passport or ID Card to help verify age.
A second registration day will be
held April 8 at the same time and place.
More parental support is needed.
Managers are needed for four Minor
League teams. Also, all the teams will
need coaches and there is a requirement
for volunteer umpires. Adults may re-
gister during Little League sign-ups.

Men's
The 1978 Intramural and Recreational
Volleyball League was kicked off on
March 13 with the IDF vs, NSGA game.
In the men's division the teams making
an early showing are CFK, IDF, AFI, NCS,
Det. 1, the High School boys team and
the Marines. The league contains a lot
of 'spoilers' and will make the top team
teams stay alert.
My pick for the league title is the
High School boys' team
All volleyball games scheduled for
tonight have been rescheduled for tomor-
row to give athletes an opportunity
to attend the basketball awards banquet.
