Supply fetes successful inspection
SUPPLY pe sonnel prepare to serve a
celebration feast last week at the
Officers' Club.
Twelve inspectors invaded the
Supply Department last week. Head-
ed by Captain (selectee'' R. Del
Duca of Commander Naval Air Atlan-
tic and Commander C. Nichols of
Naval Supply Systems Command In-
spector General, they arrived with
a "show me" attitude.
And the men and women of Supply
did just that! Every time an in-
spector asked a question, whether
to an American or an Icelander, he
was greeted with a resounding
"here's how we do it—prove us
wrong."
Several inspectors indicated
that this was by far the most
professional group they had in-
spected in a long time.
The Naval Station Supply De-
partment was awarded a "satisfac-
tory". Inspectors commented on
the cohesiveness and "can do
spirit of the personnel—both
Icelanders and military.
Fu I bright Board
invites singer
to perform
To commemorate the 20th anni-
versary of the United States Educa-
tional Foundation in Iceland, the
Fulbright Board has invited the
world famous singer, Anna Moffo, a
former Fulbrighter, to give two
concerts in Reykjavik at Haskola-
bio (the theater next to the Saga
Hotel) at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and
2:30 p.m. Oct. 29.
Tickets cost 4,000 kronur. If
those personnel who wish to at-
tend either concert submit their
names to the Iceland Defense Force
Public Affairs Office at 4552,
tickets will be reserved for them.
