a foothold in the gumshoe business by
referring to a fast talking private eye.
SATURDAY 7:35 p.m.—EIGHT IS ENOUGH—
During the winter break, Nancy Brad-
ford falls in love with Dr. Howard
Stein. Believing he is Jewish, she
invites him to a liomecooked meal of
gefilte fish, chopped liver and
chicken soup, after which Nancy anw
nounces she is willing to convert so
they could marry. Nancy is surprised
when he states he is not Jewish, but
is shocked when Howard says he has no
plans for marriage.
SATURDAY 9:00 p.m.—NIGHT STALKER--
Kolchak uncovers a particularly grisly
legend when he probes into the deaths
of low income Jewish senior citizens.
It seems these aged folks were chewed
to pieces in the old buildings located
at Roosevelt Heights, Chicago. The
walls were covered with Nazi swastikas.

Captain Cousteau discusses the mira-
culous return of the loveable sea otter
from the edge of extinction. His cameras
film these shy creatures off the coast
of Monterey, California and in the fri-

The Spanish-American War breaks out and
idealistic Kevin enlists with Teddy

owner of a barber shop, who fronts for
a bookmaking operation is murdered.
Jigsaw investigates a successful young
executive who owed the gamblers a large

unwittingly stirs up a hornet's nest.

Rod Towers, the popular movie star, be-
comes a fighter pilot and is sent to
command Pappy's squadron. His reception
by the real fighters is cool, but the
press and newsreels play him up as a big
hero.
WEDNESDAY 7:00 p.m.—LUCAS TANNER--Sel-
ling a short story to a national maga-
zine brings more than pride to one of
Lucas's students. Her tale deals with
a true sexual experience; it elicits
angry shame from her parents and taunts
from her classmates. When Lucas brings
the story up in class for literary eval-
uation, the school board comes down on
him. (adult)
WEDNESDAY 8:40 p.m.—DELVECCHIO—When
a psychopathic killer is released from
prison, he goes on a murder and robbery
rampage. He is finally wounded in a,
gunfight with Delvecchio's partner, whom
he kills. Delvecchio goes after the
killer with vengeance.
WEDNESDAY 10:15 p.m.—FAMILY—Willie
produces his own movie about his family,
hoping to win a contest for new film
makers. To the embarrassment of many
viewers, he filmed too many intimate
family scenes.
THURSDAY 8:00 p.m.—MISSION IMPOSSIBLE—
A hired killer whose modus operandi is
totally unpredictable, receives a con-
tract from a powerful figure of the un-
derworld to commit a murder. The MIF's
mission is to prevent the killing and
in the process learn the identity of
the underworld man who is known only by
the code name Scorpio.
THURSDAY 9:15 p.m.--POLICE WOMAN--A
former Cuban colonel smuggles narco-
tics into a women's county jail. Pepper
goes undercover, posing as an inmate,
to identify the prison's inside contacts.
FRIDAY 7:00 p.m.—SPACE 1999—A rebel-
lion breaks out on Alpha as it approaches
a "space phenomenon" called Tora!
FRIDAY 9: ;.Q-p.m.—ROCKFORD FILES—A
Vietnamese beauty hires Rockford to
find her missing brother. The investi-
gation uncovers a bizarre kidnap plot
involving three ex-soldiers, a CIA
agent and $500,000 stolen from American
payrolls in Saigon.

CASH—They start out in a Liverpool
night club, rise to stardom on concert
tours, do "The Ed Sullivan Show," and
break up after flopping in a film about

blance to the Beatles is quite in-

HAS A COUSIN IN THE BRONX—An Irish
manure peddler becomes enamored of an
American girl who abandons him after a
brief fling. His bad luck continues
when the delivery horses of Dublin are
replaced by motor trucks. Margot Kidi-
der, Gene Wilder, Eileen Colgan and

SATURDAY 12:30 a.m. —DARK ANGEL—This
award-winning black and white film cen-
ters upon two young Englishmen in love
with the same girl. During World War I
both men go off to war, and, the man
the young lady loves is blinded. He,
however, maneuvers to be listed dead.
On the eve of her marriage to the other
soldier, (her second choice), she learns
her true love is alive! Stars Grederic

THURSDAY 11:15 p.m.--SECRET LIFE OF
WALTER MITTY—A meek young surbanite,
harassed by a domineering mother, a pom-
pous publishing company employer and a
mother-in law to be, conjures heroic
illusions. He unwittingly becomes in-
volved in a spy plot involving a note-
book belonging to the curator of a
museum in the Netherlands, who escaped
just before the German invasion. Stars
Danny Kaye, Virginia Mayo, Boris Karloff
and Anne Rutherford.
FRIDAY 11:20 p.m.— UMBRELLAS OF CHER.-
BOURG—A throughly delightful film
about young love in the seaport of
Cherbourg, France in the late fifties.
Drafted and sent to fight in Algeria,
a young man leaves his sweetheart behind
to bear his child. Michel Legrand's
"I Will Wait For You" has since become
a standard. The dialogue in the film
is sung. Stars Catherine Deneuve, Nino
Castelnuovo and Anne Vernon.
FRIDAY 12:50 a.m.—MARRIAGE ITALIAN
STYLE—An entertaining Roman comedy
produced by Carlo Ponti and directed by
Vittorio Desica. An Italian play-
boy's mistress pretends she is dying
and coerces her lover into marrying her.
Furious at her fraud , he seeks an annul-
ment. Stars Sophia Loren and Marcello
