Starting Monday
AmExp Bank changes hours
The operating hours for the
American Express Military Banking
Facility (MBF) will change begin-
ning Monday, Nov. 27, according
to Mr. Colin Curtis, Manager of the
NATO base MBF. The new hours will
be Monday through Friday from 9:30
a.m. until 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. until
3:30 p.m.
Mr. Curtis also announced that
account holders may take advantage
of the new Quick Deposit Box
recently installed at the bank. All
checks deposited should be endorsed
with the words "for deposit only"
and the American Express account
number.
Youth Center slates bazaar
The YC will hold a Christmas
Children's Bazaar Saturday, Dec. 2.
The bazaar will begin at 1 p.m. and
end at 3 p.m. at the Youth Center,
Bldg. 179.
Items from the arts and crafts
class, cooking class and preschool
program will be available. All the
items were made by youths attending
the various classes and programs.
Children interested in working
at a bazaar table for intervals of
15-30 minutes are asked to come to
the Youth Center. Everyone is
invited.
Commendations & awards
Five awards were presented to
people of the 932nd ACWS at Comman-
der's Call, Oct. 23.
Chief Master Sergeant Donald A.
McGlory received the Air Force
Meritorious Service medal, 1st Oak
Leaf Cluster.
Air Force Commendation Medal,
1st Oak Leaf Cluster was presented
to Master Sergeant Guadalupe
Hernandez.
Receiving the Air Force Commen-
dation Medal was Captain Coleman
Weidenbush, Sergeant Europia S.
Leau, Senior Airman Duane A.
Skipworth and Sergeant Randall C.
Zook.
Staff Sergeant Louis W. Freund
was granted the Air Force Commen-
dation Medal, 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster
in a ceremony on Oct. 25.
Technical Sergeant Thomas P.
Reynolds was recognized for his
selection as TAC's Maintenance NCO
of the Year, a highly coveted a-
ward. Staff Sergeant Jerry L.
Beale was awarded 932nd AFI NCO of
the Quarter, and Airman First Class
Mark Walker received the Squadron
Airman of the Quarter award.
Lieutenant Colonel Johnnie S.
Toniolli presented the awards and
congratulated the recipients. He
noted the high quality of people
assigned to the 932nd who are re-
sponsible for the continued out-
standing performance of the squad-
ron.
Five Air Forces Iceland airmen
were honored during Commander's Call
last week.
The Air Force Commendation Medal
was awarded to Staff Sergeant Louis
F. Rivera, Jr., Staff Sergeant Ron W.
Harris, and Sergeant James T. Weimer
all of AFI supply. Also awarded the
Air Force Commendation Medal are
Staff Sergeant Lenard Jordan of Ac-
counting and Finance and Sergeant
Louis Bridgewater of Vehicle Mainten-
ance.
Senior Master Sergeant Franklin E.
Huff was awarded a second Oak Leaf
Cluster to the Meritorious Service
Medal. SMSgt Huff is a member of the
Air Force Security Police.
BOOST contenders
should apply now
Enlisted men and women who have a
strong desire for a career as a naval
officer, but whose academic back-
grounds may be inadequate, should
consider submitting an application
right now for a seat in the next
Broadened Opportunity for Officer
Selection and Training Program
(BOOST) class. According to BOOST
Program Director, Captain Charles
L. Redding, USMC, applications
should reach the Commander, Navy
Recruiting Command by Jan. 5, 1979.

Nov. 17 at 7:49 a.m. He is the son
of Dr. (LCdr.) Kenneth and Mary Kel-
leher, Jr. Dr. Kelleher is assigned
to the Medical Department.
Carl Heath Johnson was born
Nov. 13 at 6:22 p.m. He is the son
of SSgt Walter and Diana Johnson.
SSgt Johnson works with the 57th
Interceptor Squadron.
Carmen Marie Burns was born
Nov. 13 at 10:22 a.m. She is the
daughter of MSI Thomas and Barbara
Burns. P01 Burns works at the Navy ^
Exchange. M
Joseph Tyler LaRose was born
Nov. 10 at 1:32 p.m. He is the son
of BM3 Daniel and Pauline LaRose.
P03 LaRose works with the Naval
Station Security Department.
