Gymnastics show held Saturday
Over forty NATO base youth par-
ticipated in the Gymnastics Exhibi-
tion held in the base gym Saturday.
The show began with the pre-
school category doing warm-up
exercises, zoo-walks, foward rolls,
and log rolls.
The beginners took the floor
next doing leaps, handstands with
tucks and rolls, and cartwheels.
The intermediate and advanced
categories ended the show with
routines on the balancing beam,
uneven bars and floor mats. Each
girl participating devised, her
own routines by combining various
steps and excercises.
The gymnastics program, under
the direction of Joyce Hess, is
designed to entertain the children,
develop muscle power and body flex-
ibility, and encourage team work.
According to Debbie Leone, Base

gymnastics class will be starting
on Jan. 8. Registration forms and
