Racquetball standings
Rounding out the rest of the In-
ternational League, Ken Barnett shot
a 233 and 522 as Navy Weather split
with the Marines, Det. 14 shutout
Grindavik 4-0 even though Jim Long
rolled games of 209 and 200 and a
555 set; Admin downed Public Works
for three; the 960th AWACSS bested
AFI for three and NavFac was a 4-0
winner over the Mat Rats from NSGA.
Chuck Parker had a 516 for AFI and
Jim Radachi a 217 and 530 for Nav-
Fac.
In the National League, Bert
Quintans rolled a 232 game and 613
set as Recreation won three from
ComFairKef. The Supply Chiefs got
back on the winning track with a 4-0
decision over Dental. Bill Har-
rell's 545 and Joe McGlynn's 507
paced Supply. Frank Ostermann had a
204 game for AFI as his team was a
3-1 victor over the CFK Chiefs and
Medical downed the IDF Chiefs for
three. Mike Perkowski led Medical
with a 531 and Danny Bushong had a
503. Don Logsdon's 527 paced IDF
and Perry Boren added a 523.
Food Service moves into first;
Specomm ups lead to nine games
Food Service has moved into first
place in the American League in in-
tramural bowling.
They blanked NavCommSta Monday
night on the strength of Jack Rob-
erts' 221 game and 537 set and now
hold a half game advantage over the
960th AWACSS, which won three from
the Commissary.
AWACSS went into the evening a
half game up on Food Service but by
losing a game dropped out of the top
spot, a position they had held for
the majority of the season. Mike
Luce led AWACSS in their win with a
548. Joe Morowski and Bob Fulwider
followed with 531s and Ed Jones had
a 504.
Rounding out the remaining action
Gary Carmichael had two 201 games
and a 548 set to lead VP-23 to a 3-1
decision over NavFac. Steve Brown
was high for NavFac with a 513 and
Phil Blauvelt added a 506. AFI
shutout Comptroller behind Jim Kear-
ney's 561, Bruce Michaelson's 521
and Robert Leggett's 509. Calvin
Pauling led Comptroller with
a 533. The 57th FIS was a 4-0 win-
ner over IDF and Navy Broadcasting
won three from AIMD.
In the North Atlantic League, the
top two teams squared off against
each other and ended the match with
a 2-2 split. CommSta NRK was led by
Dan Smith's 207 and 553 while Ed-
guardo Layug was high for Club Man-
agement with a 211 and 528 and Jose
Enriquez had a 501. NRK still holds
a two and a half game lead over Man-
agement .
Air Ops moved into third place
with a 4-0 win over the Black
Knights behind Mario Garcia's 533.
Dick Wardman rolled a 504 as IsCom-
Ice downed CFK for three; NavFac was
a 3-1 winner over the Marines; AIMD
tripped Comptroller for three and
Public Works also was a 3-1 winner
over Supply #3, Pat Ponder had a
503 for Supply.
Specomm is running away with the
International League. George Letke
rolled a 204 and 557, Jay Norris a
536 and Tank Morgan a 522 as Specomm
shutout the NSGA Hot Rocks and upped
their lead to nine games. Scott
Metzger was high for the Hot Rocks
with a 217 and 510 and Mike Stasiak
added a 503.
