Nassar leads AIMD to a
two game advantage in
American League bowling
AIMD has opened up a two game ad-
vantage in the American League of
intramural bowling on the strength
of their 3-1 victory over Food Ser-
vices Monday night.
Nick Nassar led AIMD's attack
with a 210 game and 554 set. Roger
Bognot followed with a 548 and Perry
Boren added a 200 game. Bong Gozon
was high for Food Services with a
501.
In other American League play,
Mike Luce had games of 216 and 202
and a 576 set and Ed Jones had a 203
and 557 as the 960th AWACSS shutout
NavCommSta. Norm Bemis rolled a 209
and 549 as the Commissary blanked
the 57th FIS and VP-46 took three
from AFI #2 despite three 500 sets
from AFI. Bruce Michaelson rolled a
205 and 573 to lead AFI with Paul
Pietruszewski adding a 516 and Jim
Kearney a 223 and 504. Comptroller
dropped Navy Broadcasting for three
with Mike Braden rolling a 526, Ace
Abram a 523 and Bob Terwilliger a
507. Sam Spear was high for NBS
with a 222 game and 556 set. Skip
Groce had a 521 and Ron Gulick a
507. IDF and NavFac split their
match 2-2.
CFK, CommSta NRK and Air Ops #1
are all deadlocked for the lead in
the North Atlantic League. CFK man-
aged only a split with PSD and al-
lowed the other two teams to catch
up. Ed Sibel had a 520 and Greg
Patrick a 506 for CFK.
Dugan, Hancock no tap winners
Willa Dugan and Ron Hancock were
walk away winners in last weekend's
trophy no tap bowling tournament.
Dugan rolled a 674 series and
outdistanced her closest competitor
by 100 pins while Hancock's 773 was
80 pins ahead of the men's second
place finisher.
High game honors for the two-day
event, which was sponsored by the
Dart Association results
After six weeks of league play,
the standings for the Keflavik Dart
Association hold Steve Roselli first
for most scores over 100; Mike Fed-
ak closing the gap by shooting five
of these elusive scores.
John Farris proved himself as
good on the bristle board as he is
at culinary arts, by finishing a
game with a score of 103.

KMBA went to Willa Dugan with a 242
in the women's bracket and Mike Var-
ney with a 287 on the men's side.
Millie Fahland was second in the
women'8 category with a 574 set.
Terri Jankoviak was a pin behind at
573 and Judy Dempsey's 558 was
fourth.
In the men's division, Dan Bush-
ong was second with a 693. Mike
Varney and George Letke tied for
third with 684 and Patt Ponder was
fifth at 683. Next came Walt Myros
with a 678, Don Traeger 675, Gil
Case 672, Frank Patrizi 670, Don
Cook 666, Arno Rutsch 658, Tom And-
rews 652, Steve Buffington 650, Paul
Trecha 647 and Bruce Davis 644.
Michaelson breaks record
Bruce Michaelson broke the prer
vious record of six weeks in a row
when he beat Mike Luce Sunday for
the King of the Hill crown. It was
Michaelson's seventh straight vic-
tory.
Judy Dempsey won the Queen of the
Hill title by besting Willa Dugan in
the final match.
King and Queen of the Hill compe-
tition are held Sundays at noon at
the Arctic Bowl.
Air Ops and NRK both took advan-
tage of CFK by shutting out their
opponents. Steve Deluca rolled a
200 and 516 and Steve Buffington a
512 as Air Ops blanked the 57th FIS
#4 squad and NRK put four 500 sets
to use in disposing of AIMD #2. Vern
Matteson was high with a 205 and
563. Dan Smith had a 538, Doug
Drewry a 529 and Greg Loos a 512.
In other action, Air Ops #2 shut-
out Medical It2 and the 960th AWACSS
won three from the Black Knights
from the 57th. Tom Gorman was high
for the 960th with a 221 and 504.
Weapons and Club Management split
their match with Patt Ponder pacing
Weps with a 530 and Edgardo Layu;
rolling a 504 and JoJo Enriquez
503 for Management.
In the National League, Fred Ur'
ban rolled a 548 and Walt Milnichuk
a 205 and 547 as Dental shutout AFI.
The Good Guys from the 57th FIS came
away with a 3-1 decision over the
Supply Chiefs despite a pair of 526
sets by Doris and Joe McGlynn. Joe
also had a 202 game. Sherrie Shaf-
fer had a 521 and Marty Benham a 205
and 550 as the Navy Exchange won
four from Recreation. Bob Shaffer
topped Rec with a 529. Medical
shutout IsComlce, Steve Roselli had
a 515 as CommSta Admin tripped Com-
FairKef for three and Supply #2 won
3-1 over the CFK Chiefs. Van Sulli-
van had a 517 for the Chiefs.
Dale Cook rolled a 531, Art Long-
oria a 207 and 524 and Robert Kana-
moto a 511 as Det. 14 remained unde-
feated with their 4-0 win over Nav-
Fac #3 in the International League.
Phil Chaboya's 539 led the Mar-
ines to a 3-1 win over NSGA #1. Tom
Andrews was high for NSGA with a
506. Admin won three from AFI with
Andy Marrical rolling a 202 for Ad-
min and Ted Davidson a 205 for AFI.
The 960th AWACSS scored a 3-1 win
over Public Works with Larry Gill
rolling a 508. Frosty Meyer had a
523 for PWC. George Letke's 211 and
542 and Tom Morgan's 504 paced Spe;
comm to their 3-1 win over NSGA It
and NavFac It 1 and Grindavik ended
the evening at 2-2.
