A. C.H.O.M.F.S.—Comedy (PG). The Canine Home Pro-
tection. System (C.H.O.M.P.S.) is a lovable superdog
who is the ultimate in anti-burglar devices. He is a
super-computerized dog who has x-ray vision, buzz saw
teeth and moves with jet-like speed to catch burglars
and villainous bad guys. Stars Valerie Bertinelli and

B. THE SHINING—Horror drama (R). .lack Nicholson ac-
cepts a position as winter caretaker at an isolated
hotel in the Colorado Rockies. Nicholson, his wife
(Shelley Duvall) and their son (Danny Lloyd) live in
the Overlook whose evil history slowly exerts its in-
fluence on Nicholson. (120 min.)
C. THE ARISTOCATS—Musical adventure (G). A 1910
Parisian family of cats destined to inherit a fortune
are kidnapped by the butler and then rescued by a
host of other animals. Featuring the voices of Phil
Harris, Eva Gabor and Scatman Crothers. (79 min.)
D-_THE WANDERERS—Drama (R). The Wanderers .are a gang
of Italian-American youths in the Bronx during the
1960's who have disagreeable encounters with other
rival gangs. (117 min.)
E. DIE LAUGHING—Comedy thriller (PG). Robby Benson
is a taxi driver who has hopes of a rock music career.
But on the day of the big music competition, he finds
a nuclear physicist shot to death in the back of his
cab. (108 min.)
F. JUNGLEBOOK—Animated drama (G). Walt Disney's
animated feature adapted from Rudyard Kipling's "Mowgli"
stories of the Indian jungles. (89 min.)
G. HOUSE CALLS—Comedy (PG). Doctor Walter i'atthaeu
returns to surgery after a three-month rest following
the death of his wife. He tells fellow surgeon Richard
Benjamin that he is going to make up for lost time by
bedding as many young women as he can. (105 min.)
H. INSIDE MOVES—Drama (PG). This movie takes a look
at handicapped citizens trying to make it in everday
life and focuses on the tense relationship between
John Savage and David Morse. (113 min.)
I. SURVIVAL RUN—Action drama (R). Six teenagers are
traveling through the desert and stumble upon a drug
smuggling operation. Stars Peter Graves, Ray Milland
and Vincent Van Patten. (89 min.)
J. MY BLOODY VALENTINE—Horror drama (R). A crazed
coal miner wielding a deadly pickaxe wreaks havoc on
the working class town of Valentine Bluffs. (91 rain.)
K. THE MIRROR CRACKED—Mystery (PG). Rock Hudson,
Elizabeth Taylor, Tony Curtis, Geraldine Chaplin and
Angela Lansbury star in this Agatha Christie mystery.

for her portrayal of a hard-working Southern mill

N. MOONRAKER—Action suspense (PG). Roger Moore
stars as James Bond as, with the help of Lois Chiles,
he tries to save mankind from the machinations of a
madman who wants to destroy it. (126 min.)
O. NATURE’S WAY—Drama (G). The saga of wildlife
photographer Eric Whyle and his dog, Sundance, is
told against the backdrop of a small town nestled
in the beautiful Appalachian mountains of North Caro-
lina. (95 min.)
P. MEAN DOG BLUES—Action drama (R). On the way to
Nashville, Gregg Henry accepts a lift from William
Windom and his wife, Tina Louise. The drunken Windom
hits a little girl, but Henry is accused and convicted
of the crime. (109 min.)
R, OUR WINNING SEASON—Comedy drama (PG). Scott
.Jacoby, a member of his high school track team, can
never beat the team's star, Robert Wahler. Also

S, IT LIVES AGAIN—Horror drama (R). Kathleen Lloyd
and Frederick Forrest star as the parents of a killer

T, THE DRIVER—Drama (R). Ryan O'Neal is a getaway
driver who sells his services to sundry stickup men,
bank robbers and other hoodlums. Bruce Dern

U■ CONVOY—Action comedy (PG). Kris Kristoffe^ron
and Ali MacGraw are involved in a crazy convoy of
numerous truckers and a busload of hymn-singing fol-
lowers as they try to get away from mean Arizona

V. FADE TO BLACK—Horror drama (R). Dennis Christo-
pher is an average-looking American teenager who begins
living in a fantasy world and committing various mur-

W. THE EARTHLING—Adventure drama (PC). Rugged Wil-
liam Holden is thrown together with city-bred Ricky
Schroder when his parents are accidentally killed in
the Australian wilderness. (97 min.)
