Air Force facts
In 1907, four years after the Wright
Brothers historic flight, the Army Signal
Corps established an Aeronautical
Divison. This forerunner of the modern
Air Force had one officer and two enlisted
men. As/the threat to our nation has
grown., so has our requirement for people.
Today, the Air Force has more than
100,000 officers and some 470,000 enlisted
people._____________________
