Navy Relief mini course
On Tuesday, January 29, from
9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Fam-
ily Services Center, there will
be a Navy Relief Mini Course of-
fered to persons interested in
volunteering as an office work-
er casework interviewer, evening
weekend duty watchstander, or
anyone interested in knowing
about the functions of Navy
Relief. The course is open to
all active duty and their de-
pendents. For further informa-

FSC workshop
The Family Services Center
will hold a Job Hunting and Re-
sume Writing Workshop on Jan-
uary 24 and 31. To sign up call

The objectives of the course
are to discuss life planning,
discovering occupational inter-
ests and skills, planning your
job search and writing your
resume.
The activities will include:
instruction, class work and
homework.
The instruments needed will
be: The Self Directed Search,
Functional Skills Checklist,
Abilities Check List and Your
Functional Transferable Skills
Inventory.
The workshop is open to all.
Participants are required to
pick up a copy of the self-di-
rected search at Family Services
Center (bldg. 776) and have it
completed before the workshop
begins.
Insure safety on streets
SAFETY NOTE. During darkness,
walking or jogging becomes ex-
tremely hazardous. Rain, wind
or snow added to the darkness
severly increase the hazard po-
tential. Walking or jogging on
the station streets under these
conditions may result in a trag-
edy.
When walking the streets, al-
ways follow the rule, "Walk on
the left side of the street."
Pedestrian reflectors should al-
ways be used when walking during
dark hours. Reflective devices
are available at Security and
reflective tape will be sewn on
at AIMD for those who request
it. Open fields and recreation
areas may be used for jogging.

ing. Today, the Public Works

has invited NATO Base residents
to take a last look at the old
telephone exchange and take a
peek at the new switching com-
puters, due to come on line 1

Ski season is now open
The ski season has now start-
ed at Blue Mountain. The tour
office will be offering bus
tours to Blue Mountain tomor-
row and on Sunday. The bus will
depart from the parking lot in
front of the Viking Mall at
9 a.m. and return to the base in
the early evening. Reservations
must be made and paid for no
later than the Friday before the
tour.
The tour office will provide
bus transportation to the ATafoss
sale tomorrow, Sunday and on
February 1 and 2.
The tour office is in opera-
tion from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

A one-credit CAPP lOOB-Intro-
duction to Microcomputers: Word
Processing Seminar will be held
February 3, 5 and 7 from 5:15 to
9:45 p.m. at the Navy Campus.
It is sponsored through the Uni-
versity of Maryland. Registra-
