American Express auto insurance renewals due now
Almennar Tryggingar Auto-
mobile Liability Insurance pur-
chased through the American Ex-
press Military Banking Facility
must be renewed for the 1985/1986
insurance period. Final rates
for the insurance year have not
yet been announced by the insur-
ance company. However, all De-
fense Force personnel who have
automobiles insured with Almen-
nar Tryggingar must pay a de-
posit to continue their insur-
ance policies.
Any "JO" vehicle inspected
after February 29 must have in-
surance documents that reflect
policy renewal for the 1985/1986
insurance period. It is recom-
mended that other vehicles in-
spected prior to February 28
also have proof that insurance
has been renewed.
Policies may be renewed at
the American Express customer
service counter any day between
9 a.m. and 1 p.m. From February
20 through March 15, insurance
policies may be renewed at the
customer service counter during
both the morning and afternoon
banking hours.
Insurance policies can be
quickly and easily renewed by
bringing your old insurance
policy papers. A deposit of
2,500 kronur — approximately
$61 -- is required. This depos-
it can be paid in dollars.
When the final insurance rates
are announced in the future, the
amount due will be reduced by
the amount of the deposit paid.
For more information regard-
ing insurance policy renewal,
call 4270 or 4625 during banking
hours.
Personal perspective
Valentine's Day is a special day for sweethearts
all over the world. Let us not forget the children
who celebrate this day with the exchange of cards,
and parties. We asked four children at the Child
Care Center: What does Valentine's Day mean to you
and who is your favorite valentine?
Amanda Delaney, 3, -
The red heart means
Valentine's day and
I love you. Teri
Czarniak is my fav-
orite valentine in
the whole world.
Also, my sister, Jill
and a friend of mine
in the United States.
Samantha Stokes, 5,-
Valentine's Day is
special because you
get to send Val-
entine's Day cards to
people you love. I
would pick my mom to
be my valentine.
Also, my daddy be-
cause he just won an
award.
Jimmy Oaks, 6, - It
means that I loved
my 6th birthday party
that my parents gave
me. And that I love
my brother and sis-
ter and my sitters-
Miss Clare and Mr.
Theodore Walker. My
mom and dad are my
valentines.
Teri Czarniak, 3, -
Valentine's Day means
I love my daddy. He's
my most favorite
valentine in the
whole world. It also
means an ice cream
cone fromcupid. (How
about that daddy?)
