Twilight tour changes
Beginning November 1, person-
nel will not become eligible for
a shore twilight tour until
their 28th year in the Navy.
Exceptions will be made for
those people requesting assign-
ment in a DOD overseas tour
assignment. This change permits
a two-year shore twilight tour
instead of the present three-
year tour. The new policy will
not apply to personnel who sub-
mit requests for twilight as-
signment dated before November
1. The change will improve sea
duty manning of senior enlisted
personnel and fleet readiness.
