SSgt. Ray A. Blecker II
SSgt. Ray A. Blecker, II, a Precision Measur>
ing Equipment Special ist with the -57TH FIS, is the
Senior Military Member of the Quarter for the the
Iceland Defense Force in the second quarter 1985.
The outstanding achievements that qualified
SSgt. Bleckerfor this honor included the follow-
ing: When a critical test set used to perform
operational tests on missile control units mal-
functioned, SSgt. Blecker quickly returned it to
service the same day. This accomplishment demon-
started exceptional knowledge of electronic the-
ory. When his unit received a new state-of-the-
art Power Measurement Calibration System, SSgt.'
Blecker not only taught himself to use the equip-
ment but proceeded to teach the other technicians
as well. He requisitioned equipment needed for
the squadron's conversion to the F-15, including
a solid bolock of granite weighing over 2,500
pounds which presented special logistical prob-
lems to get into place. SSgt. Blecker accomp-
lished the task without difficulty.

CTTSN Katherine L.Winn
Cryptologic Technician Technical Seaman (CTTSN)
Katherine L. Winn is the Junior Military Member
of the Quarter for the Iceland Defense Force,
second quarter 1985. She is an Electronic War-
fare Support Measures System Operator at the U.S.
Naval Security Group Activity. Winn is the dau-
ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray D. Winn of High Point,
North Carolina.
Designated by her supervisor as the top
seaman in the command, Seaman Winn "performs
her daily duties in the manner of a much senior
individual." Her attention to detail and
reliability ensured that reports were submitted
in a timely manner to all NSGA consumers. Seaman
Winn has completed Cryptologic Collection Equip-
ments and Navy Counselor l&C courses. She has
been an active member of the NSGA volleyball
team and is currently a member of the unit's
women's softball team. She is an avid body-
building physical fitness enthusiast.

2
