FSC activities
On Friday, Sept. 6, 1985 from
8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the
Family Services Center, there
will be a Navy Relief Mini
Course offered to persons
interested in volunteering as
an office worker, casework
interviewer, evening/weekend
duty watchstander, or anyone
interested in knowing about the
functions of Navy Relief. The
course is open to all active
duty and their dependents. For
further information or to sign
up please call 4602. Child
care will be provided by
reservations. Make your own
reservations by calling 4545.

serving on the Child Care
Advisory Committee sign up
either at the Child Care

Hispanic Heritage Week
The Naval Station's annual
Hispanic Heritage Week will be
Sept. 15-21. This year's theme
is "A Salute to Youth." Volun-
teers are needed to help make
the week a success. For more

PTO meeting
The Parent-Teacher Organiza-
tion for the elementary school
will hold a general membership
meeting Sept. 30 at 7p.m. in
the school's multi-purpose
room. The main purpose of the
meeting will be to conduct a
panel discussion with the
school principal, the new vice-
principal ,. the bus monitor co-
ordinator and the food service
officer.
PWOC Bible study
The Protestant Women of the
Chapel will begin a new Women's
Evening Bible Study on Wed.,
Sept. 4 at 7p.m. in the Multi-
faith room of the Chapel of
Light. This study group will be
in addition to the Thursday 9:30
a.m. Women's Bible Study which
begins a new series "The Chal-
lenge of Being a Woman." Child-
care will be provided for both
study groups but reservations
must be made early. More infor-

On Monday, Sept. 9 at 7p.m.,
PWOC will hold their monthly
meeting in the Chapel Fellow-
ship Hall. The theme for Sept-
ember is "God's Care for Us."
