Skúmaskot
Reykjavík's newest design shop is
comfortably nestled on Laugavegur, the
city's premiere shopping street. Therein nine
Icelandic artists and designers have banded
together to promote their products. The
name may translate into "dark corner," but
Skúmaskot is anything but, with its warm
loft gallery space. Whether you are looking
for light sculptures, children's clothes,
paintings or embroidery, you might just find
it in Skúmaskot.

Red Cross
With two locations right in the downtown
core, real second-hand pickers and diggers
will delight in sifting through the hidden
treasures of these goodwill shops. The
neighbourly staff and quirky decorations will
take you through a little slice of history.

design. Kraum sells unique items that put
an Icelandic spin on everyday objects like
