BETTER CALL SAUL! Legendary guitar player
Saul Hudson, aka Slash, is making his way to this
neck of the woods, and will undoubtedly put on
one hell of a show at Laugardalshöll. Known for
his part in Guns N' Roses, Slash's Snakepit
and Velvet Revolver, Slash has since embarked
on solo projects, and will perform new and old ma-
terial with Myles Kennedy & The Conspira-
tors. Dimma warms up for them. The gig starts
at 20:00, but expect Slash to be outrageously late.
Admission from 9,990 ISK.
She's Got Eyes Just Like A Waterfall. After
climbing the top of the Icelandic charts with their
song "Pedro," Lily the Kid got a lot of love at
Airwaves. Now, the brother and sister duo are
well worth a gander at Húrra. The siblings play a
dreamy electronic pop that will shake your soul.
Channeling her inner Jackie Chan, lead singer Lilja
is also known for her exuberant live performances.
Expect plenty of chopping and flailing as she busts
out some yellow-belt freestyling.

Christmas
YULE LADS! COMING!
The first of Iceland's thirteen Yule Lads is com-
ing to town on December 12, so you best start
behaving! Originally, these fellows were trickster
spirits with wicked parents, but they have since
jumped on the Coca-Cola train and reformed. If
you behave, expect a treat that your mum picked
up from Tiger—if you've been naughty, expect a
raw potato. GB

Coming down your chimney
Both for the naughty and nice
This winter party extravaganza features a night
chock-full of crazy dance acts at the wonderful
Hafnarhús, which is usually only reserved for art
events (save for Airwaves). The night is headlined
by German house artist Claptone, whose songs
“Cream,” “Wrong” and “No Eyes” have gained him
a rather large following of late, and by the Scottish
electronica/disco duo Wildkats, who have been
making quite a name for themselves in the dance
world. The Icelanders of Sísý Ey, KSF and Ghozt
play as supporting acts. TD
Those of you that have always wanted to try
“traditional Icelandic food” but were afraid to:
here’s your opportunity. Salted fish, smoked lamb
and rice pudding, herring, rye bread and fish stew
are some of the traditional delicacies you’ll find on
this on this fancy buffet. BSÍ is not only known for
chauffeuring people to the airport and back, but
also for serving svið (singed sheep heads) to weary
travellers. Go on, give it a try. ER
