CHRISTMAS PAGEANT—The
Chapel of Light invites everyone to
come and help celebrate the joy of
the birth of the Christ Child Dec. 7
at 6:30 p. m. The pageant is
presented by the children of the
Chapel.
BOOK FAIR—A book fair will be
held at A.T. Mahan Elementary
School multi-purpose room Dec. 6
from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. New
books for all age groups are
available in time for Christmas.
NAVFAC FIRST CLASS
ASSOCIATION—is offering a
’rent-a-Santa" service to all
interested groups or individuals on
the NATO Base. Have Santa and a
helper visit your Christmas party.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH
MEETING—An organizational
meeting will be today at 2 p. m. in
the Public Works Department
Conference Room.
CHRISTMAS TREES AND LIGHTS
IN BQ’s—Christmas lights are
authorized and encouraged. Look
for details in The White Falcon
concerning contest and prizes for
best decorated BQ windows.
Christmas trees in BEQ/BOQ
lounges and rooms are authorized
and encouraged (both live and
artificial). Cautions: Don't
restrict access to exits; lights
must be UL approved and in good
condition; ornaments and
decorations must be
noncombustible; and only one
extension cord from tree lights.
Any questions call the Fire
Department at 5232.
RESTRICTIONS include lighted
candles or any open -flame
decorations in all BQ spaces.
Remember to unplug the tree
lights before leaving the room.
Last person in the lounge unplugs
the lights.
SPACE ARCADE—At the Arctic
Bowl will be closed until further
notice due to renovations.
HOUSING OFFICE—Has received
the new window locks that will
prevent the window from opening
more the 6 to 8 inches. These
locks are now available for
installation in the Housing
Replacement Store for easy
installment. Installment can
simply be done with a
screwdriver. The Housing
Replacement Store is in building
2453 and is open Monday through
Thursday from noon to 2 p. m.
BED CROSS
The Red Cross is sponsoring a
series of Labor and Delivery
classes Dec. 9, 16, 23, and 30.
Familg Service Center
A Christmas Shopping in Iceland
class Is offered Dec. 10, from 11
a.m. to 1 p.m. (bring your
lunch), and again Dec. 17, from 7
to 9 p.m. (last minute shoppers).
The workshop will provide
information concerning shopping
centers, transportation, and
kronur concerns. The class is
taught by Arni Hilmarsson and
Siggi Arnason.
Enhance Your Child's Self-Esteem
workshop will teach parents ways
to help their children develop
positive strong feeling of
self-worth so that they will feel
good about themselves and their
relationship to others. Dec. 9
from 7 to 9 p. m.
The first Spouse Employment
Assistance program is called
"Getting a Job at Your Next Base".
The workshop will be Dec. 8 from
7 to 9 p. m. and Dec. 10 for 9 to 11
a.m. Topics will include where to
look for a job, how to find
information about employers in the
new area, application procedures,
and federal job opportunities.
Typing Certification class will be
Dec. 17 at 4 p. m. in the High
School typing room. The typing
test will be certified by NEX,
Civilian Personnel, andMWR/Club
System. The first 20 minutes will
be devoted to practice. Then two
five minute test will be given.
