Naval Reservists lend support in community service
The Naval Reserve, Naval Air Station (NAS), Keflavik, Detachment
1066, based at Naval Air Field, Washington, D.C., fulfilled their annual
active duty requirement Jan. 10-24. While here they were involved in
more than 120 hours of all-hands community service projects at the
USO and the AIMD Hangar.
The USO received a welcomed facelift as new tile was installed in
both restrooms. The ladies room even got new wallpaper. Ceramic tile
was also installed in the kitchen.
A second group of reservists completed a painting and upkeep
project in the AIMD Hangar.
Many thanks to LCDR Deborah Hanah, Director, Family Services,
USO Director, Colleen Ward, and all the reservists of NR, NAS
Keflavik, Det. 1066 for the teamwork, cooperation and positive support
which blended the active, reserve and civilian resources for the benefit
of all.
