NAS holds change of
command Monday
Capt. W. Robert Blake Jr. relieves Capt. C. Thomas
Butler Monday as the commanding officer of NAS
Keflavik. The ceremony takes place in the patrol
squadron hangar, Bldg. 831, at 10 a.m. A reception will
follow at the Three Flags Club.
Butler’s next post is in the admissions office at the
Naval Academy. “My wife and I are leaving with mixed
emotions,” shares Butler. “We’ve really enjoyed our
Keflavik family, both Americans and Icelanders.”
Blake, a native of Palatka, Fla., arrives on the rotator
tomorrow.
