Artists and musicians team up with the
Iceland Symphony Orchestra in Harpa Con­
cert Hall to present a wide spectrum of new
and exciting music.
The festival includes young composers and pioneer­
ing figures, chamber music, orchestral music and elec­
tronic performances.
The Iceland Symphony will premiere 7 new works by Jim
O’Rourke, Frank Denyer, Davíð Franzson, Þráinn Hjálmars­
son and María Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir, Peter Ablinger and
Roscoe Mitchell.
Featured artists: legendary musician Roscoe Mitchell, renowned
composer Peter Ablinger, mysterious Goodiepal, Icelandic composer’s
collective S.L.Á.T.U.R. This and more at Tectonics Reykavík 2016.
