The Icelandic Festival of Manitoba held its Fjallkona Brunch, May 16 and we were delighted at the announce-ment that Helga Malis is the 2010 Fjallkona.
Helga is well known to many of us through her former role
as the Executive Secretary of the Icelandic National League. She
is also a long-serving director with the Icelandic Festival com-
mittee, a past president of the Gimli Icelandic Canadian Society
and a member of the editorial board of the Icelandic Connection
magazine. Truly a great choice!
