Capsella Bursa-pastoris (L.) Medic. (1792) 8j. 1—360 m. Near settlements, endozoochore, growing from sheep dung. Here and there on the sea shore. Hafnarfjörður (Solander), Hvaleyri, t m; Narfakot o m; Grindavík 5 m; Látsfjall 85 m; Herdísarvík 2 m; Vogsósar, “tún” 2 m; Stóri Nýibær 135 m; Logberg 120 m; Hveradalir 360 m; Núpar 15 m. 135. An average individum has (7)—13—(26) stems with ca. 15 pods on each stem (aver. from 15 samples). Each pod contains about (16)—20—(27) seeds (aver. f. 15 samples). One individual produces thus ca. 2.300 seeds.
