South Iceland is the perfect destination for autumn
and winter travel. For a start, it’s an ideal place to
glimpse the northern lights. In rural South Iceland there
is so little light pollution that if the conditions are right,

The region is easily accessible with good roads and
regular winter snow plowing (when necessary). South
Iceland is served by bus and coach services year-round.
