The measurement is based on an-
swers to four questions with equal
weight: general pleasure, likelihood of
recommending a visit to the country,
fulfillment of expectations and value
for money. The results are then sorted
according to the tourists’ country of or-
comfortable seats with tables attached
and made sure you won’t go thirsty by in-
stalling water fountains in the main build-
ing. We’re constantly improving our free
wifi and adding more charging stations
for your devices. Emphasis is also put on
better and faster food service than ever
before, and our shopping area welcomes
you with tax and duty free prices (mean-
ing most retail is 19.38 percent off).
FINGER ON THE PULSE
The increase in tourist numbers is expect-
ed to continue. To measure how tourists
experience the country during their visit
and whether that experience meets their
expectations, we have created the Tourist
Pulse.
It’s a cooperative project between Gal-
lup, Isavia and the Icelandic Tourist Board.
Published monthly, the Tourist Pulse is
based on information provided from the
emails of those who go through Keflavík
International Airport.
