Must Reopen Plant
Crackíng down on the Allis-Chahn-
ers strike in Mihvaukee, which was
delaying production of 25 destroy-
ers, the U. S. Government in a tele-
gram to Max W. Babb, president,
ordered that the plant be reopened
immediately. It had been shut more
than two months by a C.I.O. Auto
Workers’ walk-out. A wire to the
union requested “full cooperation.”
Fled France to Fight
Leads Nazi Push \
Maurice Halna du Fretay, 20-year-
old Frenchman, receives the Empire
Medal froía Air Marshal L. A. Pat-
tinson in London. Fretay made his
own plane in secret in France and
flew to England to fight with the
Free French air force.
Veteran of the Polish campaign,
Gen. Johannes von Blaskowitz is re-
ported to be dii..cting the German
invasion of Russia and is said to
have set up headquarters in Brunn,
Moravia, as Nazi blitz units move
against the massive Hed army.
