March 1st, 1981, the nominal rates are based on two interest bookings per year, i.e. June 30th and December 31 st.
3) Principal was foreign exchange rate linked from 1 st of January 1979 to end of 1981. As of January 1 st, 1982 to the 20th of September 1983,
all produce loans carry a 29 per cent interest rate. As of 21 st of September 1983, export produce loans were linked to SDR and carry a 9.5
per cent annual interest rate. As of November 1 st, 1985 export produce loans are denominated in four currencies. As of January 21 st, 1986,
SDR denominated loans carry 10,0 per cent interest rate, $-loans 9,75 per cent, £-loans 14,25 per cent and DM-loans 6.25 per cent. 4)
Treasury guaranteed securities carry a one percentage point lower rate. From August 11,1984, DMB’S were given certain freedoms to de-
cide interest rates on new mortgages, but interest rates on older mortgages are still decided by the Central Bank.
