They’ve hit the local charts with every single they’ve
released, and rocked the stages of the biggest festivals
in Iceland, and won an Icelandic Music Award. And
yet, this is FLOTT’s very first show of their own in
Reykjavík!? It’s astonishing, but also satisfying to know
that soon we can smuggly say, “I was there.” That is, if
you don’t sleep on seeing one of the funnest, bounciest,
most talented emerging pop-rock bands in the local
scene break their seal on playing in town. It’s gonna be

For worse or for better, everything is cyclical. This
new show by Þyri Huld Árnadottir, presented by
the Iceland Dance Company, delves into the cycle
we all come into life from—conception, gestation,
birth, and the need to love and nurture the bodies
both without and within. Combining art, music
and dance into a single entity, the show is dedi-
cated to honouring bodies that create and birth
other bodies. RX
Sæunn Þorsteinsdóttir’s Solo Bach Recital
February 26 – 16:00 – Norðurljós, Harpa – 3,900 ISK
Treat yourself to some Sunday classics! Having
played sold-out shows at world’s most famous
arenas, including Carnegie Hall, Sæunn Þorsteins-
dóttir is back in Iceland with a solo recital at Harpa.
The concert will consist of Three Suites for Solo Cello
by Johann Sebastian Bach and two contemporary
works inspired by Bach’s Suites. Sæunn’s recital is a
part of the Iceland Symphony’s Black series where the
artist is now a resident. IZ
