SVAVA LOUISE MAGNUSSON
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Magnus-
son of Leslie, Sask., is now secretary to
the Icelandic Minister to the United
States. Miss Magnusson took over this
position early in September. Prior to this
for the past few years she has been em-
ployed by the British Army Staff in
Washington, D. C. She was recently
honored by the British Government, be-
ing made a Member of the British Em-
pire.
ELMA DAGMAR ODDSTAD
Born Nov. 13, 1922 in Blaine, Wash.
Graduated from San Francisco Junior
College and joined the National Broad-
casting Company. Completed Radio En-
gineering course with NBC in April 1945
and became only woman member of en-
gineering staff. Now engineers the
broadcasts over NBC station KPO, San
Francisco, Cal. She is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Oddstad, San Fran-
cisco, Cal.
Iceland's Thousand Years

The book, Iceland’s Thousand Years
was such an immediate success, that a
second edition was printed, which is
handsomely bound, and lettered in gold
leaf.
We have received scores of letters that
pay tribute to the value of the book. Fol-
