POINT of INTEREST In 1963 the Osier home was purchased by an Order of Nuns and used as a Nursing Home for several years. However, by that time strict regulations were in place and the nuns had to strip the walls of their pan- elling and also had to board up the fireplace in order to install regulatory fire walls. Thankfully, for the future owners, the nuns had carefully stored the panelling and beautiful fixtures in the basement, where they were preserved. The next owner, Dr. Ernest Wong, who valued the beauty of this home, restored it to its original charm and elegance. Later it became the private and cherished residence of the Austin Hamilton family.
