GM H. Ólafsson presented the results of the ”special prize“ jury, established by himself and GM J. L. Árnason. The best game was Kaspa-
rov’s win against Timman. Brilliancy went to the vizard of Riga Tal for his game against Speelman. Special prize went to Spassky for his
game against Beljavsky and to Ehlvest for his game against Nikolic. Right we see the director’s committee of the tournament just before
the awarding. On the table we see the chess computers given as special prizes and the hundred thousand dollars case containing the prizes.
