were 1450, including journals, but in addition to this the department received the
publications of many international organizations and government agencies.
Varia. A bibliography of publications in Icelandic printed in North America or
elsewhere by or relating to the Icelandic settlers in the West was published in 1986.
A selection of books relating to Iceland and its history was given to the National
Library of Greenland in Nuuk.
