Without colour, we don’t do them justice!
These will be the last
of the Jólasveinar
drawings that we will
be able to publish due to
the limited space available
to us and the fact that some
of the drawings — all were
good and mucn appreciated
by the staff here at L-H and those who
served as judges — wouldn’t reproduce
because of technical limitations. We
wish you could have seen the vibrant
colours the artists used.
We would like to thank all the chil-
dren who entered and encourage them
to keep working on their art — tjiere are
signs of some new Kjárvals or Asgrímar
out there — we hope they will continue
to read L-H. The response to the contest
was overwhelming and we certainly
appreciate all the eífort the children put
into their work. We also want to thank
all the parents who got the children
involvea.
It was particularly gratifying to us that
the entire Grade 3 class at Lundar
school entered their drawings in the
contest. We hope that in future other
schools in other towns will show the
same enthusiasm.
Watch for details of our upcoming
Children’s Poetry Contest in a future issue
