Page 2 THE WHITE FALCON December 2, 1970 New R&R schedule for December has added flights The original R&R schedule for the month of December has been re- vised. And instead of giving you only the changes, the following is the new schedule in its en- tirety. The first flightis now depart- ing Keflavik on the 4th and re- turning the 7th. Its destination is Weisbaden via Lakenheath. Bookings for this flight extend up until the day of departure. A second flight is bound for the same destination between the 9th and the 13th. Bookings for this flight are already closed for priorities 4 and 5 but bookings may be made until the 9th for priority 6. The third flight of the month is going back to the States be- tween the 12th and the 17th and will be going to Norfolk via Quonset Point. Bookings for this flight begin the 30th and extend until the 4th for priorities 4 and 5 and until the 12th for pri- ority 6. There is one other flight bound for the same desti- nation leaving the 27th and re- turning the 29th. Bookings begin on the 14th and extend until the 18th for priorities 4 and 5 and until the day of the flight for priority 6. There are two more flights go- ing to Weisbaden via Lakenheath; the first of these departs the 19th and returns on the 22nd. The second departs on the 30th and returns on the 2nd of January. Bookings for the first flight are from the 7th until the 11th for priorities 4 and 5 and from the 7th until the 19th for priority 6. Bookings forthe second flight are from the 16th through the 23rd and the 16th through the 30 th. In addition to these, tnere is a flight going to Torrejon, Spain between the 19th and the 22nd. Bookings for this flight will be made on the 7th through the 11th for priorities 4 and 5 and ex- tending until the 19th for prior- ity 6. For further information call extensions 4132 or 6139 any week day. For those who have booked a flight be sure to reconfirm it in person before 3 p.m. one work- ing day prior to the flight. It is printed at the Naval Station Printing Plant from non-appropriated funds. of the Greenland High being the dominant factor affecting Ice- land's weather. If the high pressure cell is intense and positioned over south- eastern Greenland, the Keflavik area weather will generally be fair with crisp, cold days. How- ever when the Greenland High weakens and its position shifts west or north, migratory low pressure cells move in from the southwest...these often develop into major storms. The prevailing wind direction will continue out of the north- northeast and some form of pre- cipation can be expected on 19 of the 30 days of this month. And for those with night life in their blood, daylight hours will continue to decrease until December 21 (the Winter Solstice) when there will be just slightly over four hours of sunlight. CPO Wives to meet on Tuesday, Dec. 7 Members of the CPO Wives Cl' will hold a business meeting December 7. All wives of E-7' E-8's and E-9's are Invited to attend the meeting which begins at 7:30 p.m.
