CALLER: Why can't I buy liquor on the base, pay customs on it,
and take it off the Agreed Area?
• C.A.L.: Iceland laws give monopoly for importing alcoholic bev-

no provision within Icelandic law -------------------------------------
to import by individuals.
CALLER: Why isn't the hat-

Polar Club?
• C.A.L.: The prime factor at
this time is money. Cloak room
attendants are paid regular wages.
With the adventof better weather,
their services are not in demand.
Once the cold, inclimate weather
and the attendant foul weather
clothing season sets in,the cloak
room/hat check attendants will be
back in business.

for getting an eye examination at
Aviation Medicine?
•C.A.L.: Aviation Medicine
holds an open screening clinic
every Monday afternoon from 1-4
for both military and dependents.
At this time it is determined if
patients require an appointment
with an opthamologist. If so, an
appointment is then scheduled.
CALLER: I just arrived in
Iceland, and would like to obtain
some information on the hunting
and fishing here. Who can I con-
tact?
