points, averaging 27.9 after eight
The Teachers still remain on
top of the "B" League over 11
other teams. AMD, AFI, and High
School along with Rockville still
have winning records.
CommSta's Big Orange remain
four games ahead of NSGA, VP-56,
and Air Ops in the "A" League,
followed by Supply and CFK.
VP-56 took over VP-49's record
the first of December upon the
change of squadrons and handed
Big Orange its only defeat. The
Dragons figure to be a major fac-
tor in second half play.
AMD, AFI, and High School fol-
low three games behind the un-
beaten Teachers, as Rockville,
Grindavik, IKF, Public Works, 57-
th FIS, Soul, and VP-56 round out
the league.
Dropping below the 20-point
mark for the first time this sea-
son, David Devaney of Supply con-
tinues to lead A League scorers
with a 19.7 average. Runner-up
Jack Beck is pumping them in at a
17.3 clip.
Scoring honors in B league are
also held by David Devaney with a
sparkling 27.9 average. Jim Tolls
of Grindavik trails, more than 10
points behind the high schooler.
ComFAirKef's 10-1 mark has won
the C league first half crown for
them over runners-up Hospital and
NSGA. Fleet Weather, Comptroller
and Admin finished three games
back.
NSGA's Edward Burton leads the
C league scorers with a modest
11.5 average over Dave Hettel and
Reuben Martinez with 10.7 marks.
The Orange Patsies head the
Open League with a 10 - 1 record,
with Supply providing their com-
petition and the Whiz Bangs and
Air Ops bringing up the rear.
The points continue to pile up
in the Open league. Brad Flota at
22.3 leads Vern Chewning's 20.8.
Jerry Egbring with 19.8 and Bill
Bean with 19 are also burning the
cords.
Max1 s Mice ran through Ladies
A league competition with an un-
blemished 8-0 record, winning by
two over the Tutors. The Tabbies
at 7-1 were convincing winners in
B league.
Last week's playerette of the
week Barbara Fredericks still has
the lead in Ladies league scoring

Game of the Week
Jessie Swain of AMD tossed in
a 15-foot jumper with four se-
conds on the clock to sink Rock-
ville 49-47. Rockville tried a
desperation shot to tie the game,
but failed to net the points.
Jessie was high scorer for the
Oilers with 14 while teammate Jim
Grabowski followed with 13. High
point man for the Rockets with 12
points was Jack Jabusce.

Basketball newcomer
Player of the Week
Rodger Paschal of Comptroller
was chosen as Player of the Week
for his steady play as he scored
consecutively 15 points in two
games and 14 in another in his
team's two wins and one loss this
past week.
The 6’3" Paschal is new to or-
ganized cage competition. In his
native Philippines, he pla;
sandlot basketball, but the
base intramurals represent
first shot at team play.
