The Civilian Nurses Disaster
program needs your assistance.
There is an active group of
Registered Nurses on base who
participate in a program to aid
the Base Dispensary in being pre-
pared to handle a mass casualty
situation should the event ever
occur.
The number of the Registered
Nurses here is rapidly falling
and more help is desperately
needed to fill the vacancies.

Those who were brave enough to

some extra fun.
Tinikling is one of the Phil-

T emporary Lodging
Allowance explained £
Due to the large influx of
personnel during the summer, Col
Glendon K. Dunaway, Iceland De-
fense Force Chief of Staff, has
reiterated the purpose and limi-
tations of the Temporary Lodging
Allowance (TLA).
According to Col Dunaway, el^^^
gible persons are normally al^V
thorized TLA for a ten day period
following the arrival of their
families in Iceland. Under cer-
tain circumstances this period
may be extended, however.
For this and other reasons,
commands will normally not au-
thorize entry approval for depen-
dents until it is reasonably cer-
tain that housing will be availj^^
ble for them soon after
arrive.
