Library receives
Earlier this summer some extra
funds were made available to the
library for the purchase of addi-
tional books. The nearly 100
books purchased at the time are
now ready for circulation.
The subjects covered range
from Iceland to hobbies to trav-
el. In the first category are
several books on Iceland and the
study of the Icelandic language.
The last group includes several
Sept. 27, 1974
new books; sets
books of the 'land and people'
type, as well as a detailed guide
to London (The London Spy) and a
road atlas of Great Britain.
The middle group, hobbies, is
the biggest. Among the many top-
ics covered are mosaics, oriental
carpets, egg decorating, chess,
collage, toy-making, photography,
bead design, decoupage , paper-
craft, weaving, pottery, metal
new rule
sculpture an'1 Christmas decora-
tions. There are also cookbooks,
and books—one on each topic—on
teaching children to swim, ball-
room dancing, and planning acti-
vities for clubs.
NOTE: Smoking is no longer
permitted in the station library,
as it is too much of a fire haz-
ard. The cooperation of library
users will be appreciated.
