VP-24 turns Grindy
yp-24 lightning struck Grindavik for
the first time Tuesday night, and the
effect was sudden death for Grindy.
This Patron victory made the score
book figures change to read 12-0-0-VP-24
and 11-1-0-Grindy.
VP-24 had a more satisfying closing
victory in Tuesday's 7-6 penetration of
Grindy territory.
Hurley scampered to pay dirt from
three yards out to give Grindy a six
to zip opening.
Patron scoring came on a four yard
pass from Crawford to Sight and the tie
breaker saw VP-24's penetration in
Grindy land.
Det. 1
slips by Vickings
Last Saturday, the A.T. Mahan Vikings
were pitted against Det. 1 in a very
close football game which ended in a tie
breaker, to Det.. l's favor.
Each team took two alternate punts,
with Det. 1 slipping ahead on their last
punt, which, carried by the 25 knot
winds, flew out of bounds on the Vikings
one yard line, and wound the game up for
Det. 1.
The Vikings' score board for the sea-
son stands at 6 wins, 4 losses, and 2
ties.
