Vietnam veteran is trying to rehabilitate his
best friend, who has become bitter and withdrawn

moonshiner is released from prison only to put
Durston County's organized crimelord out of

G. DR. BLACK AND MR. HYDE—Suspense Drama (R) .
Obsessed with developing a serum to cure
cirrhosis, a doctor experiments in his labora-

H. BREAKHEART PASS—Action Drama (PG). Set
in the snowbound mountains of Idaho in 1870,
a mysterious character is apprehended for
murder. Stars Charles Bronson and Jill Ireland.
I. , MANY RIVERS TO CROSS—Adventure Comedy
(PG). After surviving a pursuit and attack by
wild Pawnees, true love ensues for a husband-
craving tomboy and the frontiersman whom she
seeks. Stars Robert Taylor and Eleanor
Parker.
J. ROSEBUD—Drama (PG). A Newsweek Internation-
al reporter is enlisted to locate five wealthy
girls kidnapped by a Palestine Liberation Organi-
zation. Stars Peter O'Toole and Richard Atten-
borough.
K. SMILE—Comedy (PG). Thirty-three young mis-
ses compete in the annual Young American Miss
Competition. The film is a satirical comment on
beauty contests, small town ways of life and the
American way of winning. Stars Barbara Feldon.
L. ELIGER SANCTION—Action Drama (R). Clint
Eastwood stars as a retired assassin who collects
and teaches art, but is prevailed upon by the
chief of the spy organization CII to perform two
sanctions to avenge the death of a friend.
M. I'M NO ANGEL—Comedy (G). Alluring Mae West,
a midway dancer with a shady past and a hopeful
future, meets socialite Cary Grant. This ignites
the screen with a flaming romance.
N. SCHIZO—Horror-Drama (R). A night-worker is
deeply disturbed by a newspaper photograph of the
forthcoming marriage of a skating star. He heads
for London where frightening developments, mur-
der and implications of schizophrenia are re-
vealed. Stars Lynne Frederick and John Leyton.
O. DAY OF THE ANIMALS—Horror-Drama (PG). A
news bulletin announces the ozone layer protect-
ing the sun's rays has been damaged, causing
animals to act menacingly. A group of city
hikers fail to hear the bulletin and soon no-
tice the strange behavior of the animals. Stars
Christopher George and Leslie Nielsen.
P. THE NIGHT CHILD—Occult Drama (R). A young
girl, who has been neurotic since her mother died
mysteriously in a fire, has developed an abnor-
mal attachment to her father. Stars Richard
Johnson and Joanna Cassidy.
R«. CONVOY BUDDIES—Comedy (PG). Two rough and
ready young men down on their luck accept a job
driving a truck cross-country. Unknown to them,
they are being used as dupes by a gun smuggling
ring. Stars Bob Spencer and Terrence Hall.
S. BRIDGER—Western Drama (G). No synopsis
available. Stars James Wainweight and Ben Mur-
phy.
T. HER0W0RK—Comedy-drama (PG). Frank Pellett los-
es his job as an ambulance driver and resorts to the
tradition of Robin Hood. He gives what he takes
from robbers to the poor after taking his 10%.
After jail he decides to enter "Herowork" with his
sidekick, Sidewinder. They proceed to undertake
"Herowork" together.
U. GRIZZLY—Drama (PG). An eighteen-foot Grizzly
bear goes on a rampage in a national park, attacking
campers. The bear first attacks two women and
expands his area of conquest to include other vic-
tims as well. The bear's attacks are violently por-
trayed .
V. MANIAC—Drama (PG). A rich Southwestern resort
community is subjected to a reign of terror by Paul
Koslo. His steel arrows kill several police of-
ficers and leading citizens.
W. DIAMONDS FOR BREAKFAST—Comedy (PG) . A crime
comedy dealing with a Russian Royal family descend-
ent who robs the Crown Jewels. It is done by re-
cruiting seven girls and organizing a fashion show
in order to get close to the jewels.
X. CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE—Drama (TV). Raymond
Burr as Arthur Mallory, a once successful lawyer who
had been accused of causing a witness to perjure
himself. Though the bar association cleared him,
many people still consider him guilty.
Y. SUPERDAD—Comedy (G). Bob Crane as Dad doesn't
have super qualities, he just wants the best for
daughter Kathleen Cody. The best he feels is not
Kurt Russell, Cody's childhood sweatheart.
Z. SAVE THE CHILDREN—Musical Documentary (G).
There was a time when music was one of the few means
to escape the agony of black oppression. A cluster
of stars take a sentimental and sometimes terrifying
journey back to the memory of poverty.
AA. GODSPELL—Musical (G). The Gospel according
to St.-Matthew is an occasion for song and dance as
eight youths are attracted to a fountain in Central
Park by David Haskell
BB. HUD—Drama (PG). Starring Paul Newman, Melvin
Douglas and Patricia Neal. Hard-drinking, woman-
chasing man, whose life is a revolt against the prin-
ciples of his father.
