Aug. 1, 1979, scores for all airman
promotion system factors except dec-
orations will be computed and carw
ried to two decimal places for com-
petition to grades E-5 through E-9.
The revised scoring policy is de-
signed to give individuals the exact
score they achieve on airman perfor-
mance reports, specialty knowledge
tests, promotion fitness examina-
tions, and USAF Supervisory Exam-
inations.
Scores for these factors are cur-
rently rounded off. That is, scores
are carried out to two decimal
places but rounded to the next high-
er whole number for decimals of 0.50
or higher or to the lower whole num-
ber for decimals of 0.49 or lower.
Time-in-service and time-in-grade
points are already scored to two
decimal places. Decoration points
are in whole numbers and are not af-
fected.
