Page 4 The White Falcon June 27, 1980 It is the policy within DOD com- ponents to provide passenger bus transportation services for official use when such services are essential to effective accomplishment of the installation or activity mission, and also where circumstances require support of morale and welfare of both military and civilian person- nel. Here on the NATO Base there is a need for regular and timely bus ser- vice—which we have in Base Buses One and Two and others. This priv- ilege, provided by the commanding officer, enables us to ride to shop- ping areas, recreational areas and sites and places of work. But the privilege of riding the buses is being abused by a few persons who could, if current trends continue, jeopardize that privilege for all of us. The problem is vandalism in the form of ripped seat covers, broken windows, broken seat frames, magic marker writings on seats and using the seats as foot rests. According to CW02 Tom Barba, the outgoii^ Transportation Officer, most of vandalism is occurring on Base Bl One. "In the last two months we have repaired 25 seats, most of which came from Base Bus One," Barba said. inag|^^ Vandals breaking up Ba
