Does Dallas want Kush?
A Toronto report says Frank
Kush may be headed for Dallas, but
the Cowboys deny the report.
The Toronto Globe and Mall
quotes Hamilton Tiger-Cats Owner
Harold Ballard as saying Kush has
been offered a coaching position
with the Dallas Cowboys. The re-
port says Ballard heard from NFL
sources that the Cowboys plan to
promote Coach Tom Landry to an
administrative job at the end of
the current season and want Kush as
a replacement, or as an assistant
coach.
But Ballard says, "There's no
way I'll allow him to break his
contract with me. He's the best
football coach in Canada."
Kush is in the first year of a
two-year contract at Hamilton. He
told the newspaper, "I can't imagine
it. It's like me being the Pope."
In Dallas, a club spokesman says
the Cowboys are not planning to put
Kush on the payroll.
