Keflavik counselor honored
AMS 1 (AW) John R. Wilson (center) accepts the USO/General Dynamics Commu-
nity Service Award from Gen. John M. Shalikashvili (right), chairman of the Joint
Chiefs of Staff, and General Dynamics President/CEO Jim Mellor. Wilson, who is
assigned to the NAS Keflavik Counseling and Assistance Center, received the award
at the 1993 USO Christmas Celebration in Washington, D.C., for his many commu-
nity contributions, most notably his work with alcoholism support groups, the Ameri-
can Red Cross and the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist program.

Welcome to
our world
in 1994
Elizabeth Anne Keenan was the
first baby bom at U. S. Naval Hos-
pital Keflavik in 1994. The mother,
Stephanie, gave birth to the 19 inch,
six pound, 13.9 ounce baby just two
days into the new year at 10:06 p.m.
last Sunday. Lt. Cmdr. James
Keenan, the father, is a dentist at the
U. S. Naval Branch Dental Clinic.
