Among other accomplishments, McCabe was cited for establishing
the first-ever DoD directives library for IDF staff use and bringing
BUPERS Access on-line. She is a member of the NATO First Class
Petty Officer Association, coaches youth sports and assists with A. T.
Mahan Elementary School programs. McCabe’s advice to others is to
“work hard and get involved in the community.”

“I felt proud and excited when I won,” commented Loop. “I was
confident that I did well, so when I won, it made me feel that much
more gratified.” Loop, the sergeant of the guard and platoon sergeant
for Second Platoon, was commended for his “superb performance and
inspirational leadership” toward quality of life.

Goals: Finish my architectural engineering degree and earn a commission
Ward was recognized for his maintenance and troubleshooting
efforts which facilitated rapid restoration of mission critical equip-
ment. “I was elated when I won,” remarked Ward. “That board had
been eluding me here. It was overwhelming.” Because of the joint
environment here, Ward said he was especially proud of the win.
