PROGRAM / 21 ST NORDIC CONGRESS OF ALLERGOLOGY
General Information
Congress Venue
Pre-Congress on August 21 is held at deCode Genetics lecture hall,
Sturlugata8,101 Reykavík
The NCA lectures and scientific sessions from August 22 - 24
are held at the Conference and Cultural Centre of the Univer-
sity Cinema, Háskólabíó, in lecture halls 2 and 4.
Preparation for Presentation
Facilities for viewing and arranging slides before presentation are
provided in the meeting room, entrance from the main foyer.
Speakers are requested to use this facility to ensure that their slides
are in the correct order. All speakers are asked to present them-
selves to the technician with their slides at least an hour before the
beginning of their session. Please note that for power point presen-
tations you need to hand in a PC-diskette or CD-ROM with your
presentation.
Exhibition
The opening of the Exhibition is from Thursday, August 22 at 08:30
to Saturday, August 24 at 11:00. The Exhibition is located in
Háskólabíó.
Posters
The posters will be presented in the foyer of Háskólabíó. Boards
are marked with the number of posters and fitlings are provided.
Your poster should be displayed throughout the meeting. Posters
should be mounted between: 08:00 - 13:00 on Thursday, August
22nd and removed on Saturday, August 24th no later than 11:30.
The Conference Organizers has no responsibility regarding
the posters.
Chairnien
Please be present in your session hall at least 15 minutes prior to
your session. It is thus vilal that all speakers observe their time
allotment.
Language
Oral presentations must be in English. No simultaneous transla-
tions will be provided.
Breaks
Coffee, tea and refreshments are served in the foyer of Háskólabíó
during coffee breaks.
Meals
August 21 at deCode Genetics. On August 22 at Súlnasalur, Radis-
son SAS Saga Hotel and on August 23 there will be MSD Luncheon
Symposium at Súlnasalur, Radisson SAS Saga Hotel. The hotel is
located opposite the Congress venue “Háskólabíó”.
Messages
Messages will be posted on a bulletin board near the Registration &
Information Desk.
Conference Badges
Your personal badge is your entrance ticket to all sessions and
lunches on August 21-23 and you are obliged to wear it throughout
the congress. Should you misplace your badge, a replacement can
be obtained at Registration & Information Desk for the price of
ISK 700.-.
Registration & Information
The Conference Organizers will be located at Háskólabíó, where
Congress Reykjavík will provide you with travel and conference
information during the NCA Congress. The registration and Infor-
mation Desk will be open during the following dates and hours:
Wednesday August 21
07:00 - 12:00 at the location for the Pre-Congress, deCode, Sturlu-
gata 8 & 13:00 - 17:00 at the Congress venue Háskólabíó
Thursday August 22
07:00 - 17:00 at Háskólabíó
Friday August 23
08:00 -17:00 at Háskólabíó
Saturday August 24
08:30 -11:00 at Háskólabíó

Transport
Transport will be provided from the reception at City Hall to the
Congress Banquet at Restaurant Perlan on August 23.
Public Transport
Buses nr. 4,5 and 6 stop near Háskólabíó. The fare is ISK 200.-
Taxi stands are located by all major hotels, Háskólabíó and in the
City Centre. Their price is reasonable.
Banking Facilities
The National Bank of Iceland has a branch in Háskólabíó.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 09:15 -16:00. Currency
exchange service is also available at the Tourist Information Centre,
Bankastræti 2. Opening hours are from 09:00 - 17:00, closed
Sundays. Bank automats are also common.
Credit Cards
Commonly accepted credit cards are: Visa, Master Card, Euro card
and Diners.
Excursions
Excursions from Reykjavík can be arranged. Further information
can be obtained at the Registration & Information Desk.
