fengu meðlag með 644 börnum og konur með 14.407 börnum. Þá var greitt meðlag vegna menntunar til 97 ungra karla og 155 ungra kvenna. Child
maintenance is not a social security benefit although the S.S.I. serves as an intermediary for payments. Child maintenance due to education is included.
Children supported through child maintenance were 644 on behalf of men and 14,407 on behalf of women. In addition 97 young men and 155 young women
were supported because of education.
