— The 29th annual Scandina-
vian Hjemkomst Festival, June
23 – 26, saw another increase in
attendance this year, with over
6,600 people in attendance, a
7% increase over the 2005 fes-
tival’s attendance. This includes
visitors, volunteers, and partici-
pants.
Visitors and participants
came from 17 states and prov-
inces as well as Sweden, which
was the festival’s highlighted
country this year.
The Fargo-Moorhead Ice-
landic Klub participated in the
festival again this year, featur-
ing an Icelandic table, a food
table and taking part in the fash-
ion show.
The 30th Annual Scandi-
navian Hjemkomst Festival is
scheduled June 22 – 24, 2007
and will feature Norwegian
Expo 2007. Special features
will highlight the 30th anniver-
sary of the festival.
