Now, while taking a shower and relax-
ing after a long trip is undoubtedly a
desirable thing to do, according to Hons
Freie, Manager of the Factory Delivery
Centre, all most people want to do is
simply get their hands on their new car
when they first arrive.
"You can see the excitement and
anticipation on their faces," he says.
"And despite the fact that they may have
travelled thousands of miles from the
USA to be here, most people just want
to get behind the wheel of their new car
as soon as they can."
Fortunately, the Factory Delivery
Centre can fulfil this request, too. Every
customer receives a personalised intro-
duction to their new Volvo, after which
there is even the opportunity to drive
the car on the Centre’s test track before
setting out on the open road. "Most
people come to Europe for a two- or
three-week vacation," explains Hons,
"and, as soon as they’ve got used to
their car, they generally can't wait to be
on their way - though most hang around
long enough to go on a tour of the
Volvo factory."
The gateway to Scandinavia,
Gothenburg is certainly the ideal start-
ing point for discovering the beauty of
Sweden. After a visit here, people usual-
